The ambition of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi for the chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has gotten a major boost as the Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue states chapters have vowed to work for his success at the National Convention billed for August 17, at Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
He received a carnival-like reception at Nasarawa where party faithfuls and delegates lined the popular Lafia-Jos road to receive him at the party’s secretariat. Dokpesi was scheduled to visit Benue first on Monday before meeting delegates from Nasarawa state but he had to branch the Lafia secretariat as hundreds of party faithfuls lined up the street to welcome him.
