A man cried out ‘help me, I’m dying’ as he was hacked to death in a residential London street.
Gurinder Singh, 33, was ambushed by three hooded men in Spikes Bridge Road, Southall, on Saturday night.
Witnesses said they saw a dark-coloured vehicle first try to run over Mr Singh at high speed. Three men then got out of the behicle and stabbed Mr Singh with a long curved weapon in a ‘frenzied’, 30-second attack.
Arriving police attempted to stem the bleeding from Mr Singh’s wounds before paramedics took him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead yesterday morning.
He was lying on his side and there was blood everywhere. We were scared.’
Another witness called the attack ‘brutal’.
‘They were definitely targeting him,’ they said.
A friend of the victim said Mr Singh was originally from Punjab in India, and had aspirations to run his own construction firm.
